The initial idea for this album cover was to create something that looked how the artist sounded. Although this concept was difficult and a little confusing, I began researching the sound and genre of Ariana Grande as well as taking into consideration her own personal look and branding. The solution to this was the type as a font that was in cursive seemed to look too young for the type of music she makes. As this briefs requirements surrounded type setting, it seemed fitting to keep the tittle of the album bold and the main focus with little imagery. The use of fluorescent neon lettering paired with the dreaminess of the cloud background not only suits Ariana Grande’s aesthetic but her use of both pop and RnB sounds.
