My “Out of place in Outer Space” spreads are apart of a book by 56 graphic design students as part of a kickstarted project. The brief for this one was broad just as long as the spread followed the theme of “out of place”. My initial idea was to create a collage inspired by the work of Karen Lynch and her use vintage imagery. While thinking of more ways to achieve this, I decided that using my own photography and Photoshop I could create similar imagery with my own personal twist. Although i changed the media I was using, I used grains and effects to help create a old magazine texture.
