The illustration of Melbourne Town Hall is intended to replicate the look of a vintage travel poster. Following the brief, the colour scheme had to be complimentary and after much research I felt that the yellow and purple tones suited the over all feel of the building and its surrounding environment. To accompany the vintage aesthetic of my poster, the use of the font Broadway helped with tying together the poster. Using my own photography, I used photoshop to create different thresholds that would eventually be traced in illustrator in a long and time consuming process.
